Spatial Segregation and Territory in major Urban Centers

OPD Work Group "Spatial Segregation and Territory in major Urban Centers" would like to invite you to attend the meeting that will take place in the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre next Wednesday 27 th January .  In view of the need to go ahead in the discussion and reflection between social segregation and participatory democracy , the WG goes in to the 2 nd stage aimed to draw up a more substantial document that will allow for an in depth look into how participatory democracy - by means of participatory budgets and other tools- allows for the articulation of policies, programs, etc. in each of the territories, in order to combat segregation and, at the same time, placing emphasis on the relationship between spatial segregation, social territorial policies and citizens - participation, in order to boost social inclusion and participatory democracy .
