Human Rights in the City, a text open to debate

FAMSI, CISDP – UCLG, SPIDH (International permanent Secretariat "Human Rights and local governments”) and the FAL Network, in collaboration with the Regional Government of Granada (Spain), will hold the Andalusian Seminar on the “Charter-Agenda of Human Rights in the City” on March 19th , at 12 a.m. in the assembly room of the Regional Government’s headquarters.

This event is organised within the framework of the ALTER-ACCIONES seminar, promoted by the Regional Government of Granada. The seminar will be attended by Julio Bernardo, Vice-Chair (Second) of the Regional Government of Granada, and Eva G. Chueca, Executive Secretary of the UCLG Social Inclusion and Participatory Democracy Commission. The Vice-Chair (Second) of the Regional Government of Malaga, Miguel Esteban, and the President of FAMSI, Francisco Pulido, are also expected to attend the event.

The invitation will be sent to all the Andalusian municipalities and social movements which participated in the creation of this Human Rights Charter-Agenda.

The seminar aims at being a meeting between local authorities and organised civil society movements, open to the participation of university students and to any other contribution to this globally debated text: the Charter-Agenda of Human Rights in the City.
